When I was in junior high and high school I volunteered many hours at the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation. I loved it, I would go no matter the weather and always stayed longer than I intended. I have many horrific stories and some funny ones too. Drew Fitzpatrick, the founder, is a wonderful and caring woman and I am lucky that she let me hang around. Drew is also straight forward and could care less what people think of her. I am sure that my time there has lead me down this road and I am grateful. Seeing Drew and the farm in the news is exciting and usually due to something sad, however the publicity really helps. Yesterday Drew appeared on the front page of the Star Tribune it seems foreclosures are affecting pets and livestock. And today she is in the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Please read these articles and if there is anything you can do or know anyone who can help I know that they would be grateful.
