-15 degrees makes our chick water freeze

Well, we've had a somewhat long cold snap. It's been about a week of sub zero lows and single digit highs. The animals are all doing fine, except me. I'm tired of walking out 75 yards with two 5 gallon buckets of water. This type of cold is pretty hard on our eggs. I'm glad to say the chickens and ducks are laying pretty good, but we're lucky to get out there in time to save the eggs from splitting open from freezing. Next year the chickens will have a little coop attached to my workshop, so they will be enjoying the heat from my wood stove when it gets this cold.
